Norma Mexicana de Ecoturismo

La Norma Mexicana de Ecoturismo es una norma voluntaria promovida por la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (SEMARNAT) para incentivar la implementación de buenas prácticas ambientales en empresas de ecoturismo. La  Norma Mexicana de Ecoturismo publicó su nueva versión en el 2014. 

Su objetivo es establecer los requisitos y especificaciones de desempeño ambiental en el ecoturismo y el procedimiento de evaluación de la conformidad para efectos de certificación.

El requisito principal es el documento de planeación que contenga entre otros, los siguientes apartados: Diagnóstico ambiental del área geográfica, incluye ubicación, clima,  Geología, Hidrología,  identificación de los impactos ambientales actuales y/o potenciales generados por el prestador de servicios turísticos, Flora y fauna endémica, Fauna migratoria. En relación con la Información sociocultural, incluír: Datos de población: Tipo de localidad (rural o urbana), número de habitantes y grupo étnico y hablantes de lengua indígena, cronología de la historia de la localidad y del área geográfica en que se encuentra, relación de monumentos, zonas arqueológicas, y otros, principales actividades económicas que generan mayor ocupación e ingreso en la localidad en la que realizan las actividades ecoturísticas.

A partir del diagnóstico e información a que se refieren los requisitos anteriores y la vocación del suelo, establecer una planeación territorial del área. La evaluación de la conformidad de la presente norma  la realiza la SEMARNAT por conducto de la PROFEPA. La vigencia del certificado es de cuatro años, y puede ratificarse por periodos iguales.

Actualmente hay más de 30 empresas ecoturísticas mexicanas que cumplen con esta norma y un número igual de empresas en el proceso de certificación. Además, se ha creado una marca “Ecoturismo Certificado” la cual avala comercialmente el cumplimiento de la norma. En Chiapas hay seis centros ecoturísticos certificados localizados en la Selva Lacandona principalmente, lo que representa una garantía de conservación al medio ambiente y seguridad para el turista.

Audiovisual Equipment

All rooms will be provided with a computer projector (cañon), screen and laptop (only Power Point). All of this equipment is provided free of charge.

Remember, if you do not receive confirmation of the receipt of your proposal by june, 8^th, please resubmit and/or contact the UNICACH Language Center Office at languageconvention@unicach.mx Do not assume that we have received it! The Academic Committee makes its programming decisions including standby proposals on the  third week of June. Thereafter any proposal submissions will not be considered.
